It is a size large and exhibits parkerized steel snaps. Steel snaps were most common from mid 1942 to late 1943, afterwards brass was reintroduced due to it no longer being considered a scarce material. This makes it ideal for a helmet liner with either non painted or green painted steel A washers (including Hawleys and low pressure liners).

I bought this for our third year wedding anniversary, as a gift for my husband. The 3rd year is supposed to be a gift inspired by leather. The tray is very durable and has lots of compartments.
